Elliot's 1st Birthday

We invited Darren's relatives and a few of my friends and their families to 老北京食堂 to celebrate Elliot's 1st birthday party because our place was too small to even have a place for the catered food fare... Most of the photos were taken by my dad.  If the photos appeared blur, that's because the camera, complete with very expensive lens, was a tad heavy for the photographer.. hahaha...

One of my favourite shots... But where's Daddy?!

Most photogenic baby

This is one of my favourite shot of Elliot taken by Daddy.
He was 5 months old and he's definitely a baby who loves to smile :)

Botak! 光头!

Elliot getting his first shave for his full month celebration the next day.  Though it's not necessarily to go totally bald, we decided this will be better for his cradle cap.

Rock-a-bye Baby

The little rascal is such a light sleeper... even the confinement lady commented that he's one of the more "difficult" newborns she had to take care in her career history!  Hands aching and tired after constant carrying him and rocking him to sleep, we got innovative and viola... an easier way to rock him to sleep!

Hello World!

Daddy was the first to see Elliot since Mommy was still knocked out by the general anaesthesia while giving birth to the boy through C-section.  According to Daddy, the boy had pretty strong lungs!

All cleaned and wrapped up cosily by the nurses.

After 3 days 2 nights stay in Mount Elizabeth maternity ward, we were back home.  See how "kok" the shape of his head is - front and back!  Old folks said kids with "kok-tau" are smarter .... we will have to wait and see...

Baby has a Ku-ku!!!

Only the gynae is able to tell that the small white dot between the 2 thighs is the little machine gun! He has to actually point it out to me on the monitor.. hahahah...

My blood test results, also called the Triple Test, turn out normal, low risk for Down-Syndrome. I felt a great sense of relief as I had been anxious and worried ever since I read about cases of mummies having to abort their fetas tested positive for Down Syndrome. It was very heart wrenching reading about such things even though I don't know these ladies. 啊弥陀佛

On a brighter note, boy-boy has been quite active, moving around in mummy's womb. I can feel him sometimes especially after I had my meals and as I lay in my bed at night. It's a strange feeling, knowing a life is taking shape inside me.

6.99

Taken at 13 weeks of gestation, the fetas has grown to almost 7cm! It's amazing! Can't wait till we're able to see if we're expecting a boy or girl... Daddy prefers girl but mummy wants a boy!! Taking bets now! Any takers??

The best Christmas gift ever!

This is so amazing... at 9 weeks of gestation, we can already see the head (on the right). And the fetas measures a mere 2.67cm!
