Racial Harmony Day
Last week, we received a Memo from Elliot's school informing us that 21 July is "Racial Harmony Day" and the children are supposed to wear a traditional costume. Initially, I had wanted to "recycle" the Japanese costume... But when my sister-in-law mentioned that they were going to get a set for their boy Ethan, I decided to tag along and choose one for Elliot too. Thanks to my brother who offered to pay for Elliot's set since his birthday was just around the corner!

3rd Birthday Celebration
Since Elliot now has more friends in school, we thought it'd be more meaningful to him to be able to celebrate his 3rd birthday with his friends. This is also to give him a chance to share... Share his cake and goodie bags with his little friends!
Personally, I really admire the teachers... only 5 of them... handling around 20 toddlers! Keeping the children's hands off the cake is really not easy! After setting up the cake and lighting the candles, the teachers and all the children sang "Happy Birthday" in English then Mandarin to Elliot. They sounded so enthusiastic and so sincere.... Innocent and Angelic... What an experience!

To School, to school, we go...
Elliot has been staying in school till 5pm daily for the past two weeks. Since he started full day childcare, he's been more enthusiastic about going to school than before. See... he's happily waiting for his school bus to fetch him to school with his new haircut!
Later in the evening, Daddy asked him if any of his teachers called him "Botak". Elliot replied that his teacher called him "Buddha".......hahahaha....
