1st Movie Date - Cars 2

Nope, we're not in one of the colder countries.  We were catching the cartoon movie Car 2 at Shaw Nex.  It's Elliot's first movie outing.  Mommy was as excited as the boy.





At 3 years old, seating down in a dark strange place for almost 2 hours is just too much to ask for.  Maybe next year...

Headache

The boy woke up in the morning complaining about head pain pain... and did not have appetite for anything except yoghurt.  Today being a family celebration of Alicia's first birthday, we braved his discomfort and attended.  A few steps after alighting from Grandpa's car, Elliot started vomiting.  Yoghurt being the suspected culprit, we decided to let him get checked at KK Hospital....and missed the celebration brunch. 

While waiting for his turn, the sick boy complained about headache again and Daddy lovingly massaged for him till he fell asleep...  What a day....

Boy: "Daddy, what is five minutes?"
Dad: "Count from 1 to 300."
Boy: "1, 2, 3, hundred!"

Mom joins in, "No, count to 10, 10 times."

Sticky tape

Last night while playing with his Lego, Elliot accidentally torn the "instruction manual"... I immediately "Orrrrrh" him very loudly.  He panicked a while and quickly replied, "Mummy, can use the sticky tape..."  Whoever taught him about sticky tape?!?!  Not me for sure.  But I'm still very impressed with the little boy's reaction!!

Singapore Art Museum

The boy woke up in the morning with stuffy nose and very dry cough.  He even complained he cannot breathe!  So we decided to pong tang school today and pay the doctor a visit.  When told that he's going to the doctor, Elliot said, "But I don't want to see the Chinese doctor.... She pinched me.... and she gives me toy..."  In case you're starting to think along the line of child abuse, don't!  It's not pinching.. it's 小儿推拿.  The Chinese doctor highly recommended by friends includes children massage in their prescription. 

Strangely, Elliot didn't cough much during the rest of the day.  And since I didn't want to be driven up the wall by him at home, we decided to go meet his Daddy for lunch.  After lunch, we walked Daddy back to his office and I thought "Why not visit the Singapore Art Museum since there is free entry for all Singaporeans and PRs!?"  

The "Art Garden" is still being exhibited so we paid $5 for Elliot to "not touch anything" at the various exhibitions tempting the children to touch them !!!  I doubt whoever came up with such an exhibition like(s) children much!  



So many actions...

While celebrating Elliot's birthday in his school, Darren saw this sweet young thing whom he just can't resist taking her photo....  I wonder if Elliot's taste in the opposite sex would be the same as his Daddy in future... I wonder....




Racial Harmony Day

Last week, we received a Memo from Elliot's school informing us that 21 July is "Racial Harmony Day" and the children are supposed to wear a traditional costume.  Initially, I had wanted to "recycle" the Japanese costume... But when my sister-in-law mentioned that they were going to get a set for their boy Ethan, I decided to tag along and choose one for Elliot too.  Thanks to my brother who offered to pay for Elliot's set since his birthday was just around the corner!

3rd Birthday Celebration

Since Elliot now has more friends in school, we thought it'd be more meaningful to him to be able to celebrate his 3rd birthday with his friends.  This is also to give him a chance to share... Share his cake and goodie bags with his little friends!

Personally, I really admire the teachers... only 5 of them... handling around 20 toddlers! Keeping the children's hands off the cake is really not easy!  After setting up the cake and lighting the candles, the teachers and all the children sang "Happy Birthday" in English then Mandarin to Elliot.  They sounded so enthusiastic and so sincere.... Innocent and Angelic... What an experience!
