Cousins and Kors-kors

Once a while, mommy will bring me to Ah Gong/Ah Mah's house to play with my cousin - Ethan.  Sometimes, the kor-kors from next door will come over to play with us.... They are very nice and patient with Ethan and me because we are younger!

When the kor-kors are not around and we got bored playing inside the house, we help auntie Emilyn sweep the dead leaves in the garden.

Cooling off day

It was one of the precious days when Elliot wasn't sick and coughing! And since the day was Hot! Hot! Hot! We decided to have some ice-cream! Which flavour did he choose?! That of his favourite drink - Milo!

After some ice-cream, it was back to the playground to play!

With the sun and the heat, we indulged further with a dip in the pool to end the evening!

Today is also the "Cooling Off Day" for all Political Parties, and tomorrow we will go the Polling Stations to vote for our selected party to represent us for the next 5 years....

School Outing - Sentosa beach

According to the Supervising Teacher, the school will organise at least 2 get-together excursions a year which included parents with the objective of exchanging information about the respective child and school developments.  Honestly, I doubt this trip to Sentosa Under Water World and Beach was effective in achieving such an objective unless the parents take the initiative to approach the teachers for discussions and chats.  

First, there were more parents than children and teachers combined (imagine, most of the children had 2 parents in tow...) which created much confusions and disruptions.  Then, it was very crowded inside the Under Water World.  And the heat at the beach was just driving most parents nuts... But the kids were all enjoying themselves!

$10 Hair Cut

Elliot needs a hair cut.  Yes, we prefer him with army-boy hair style.  But when an already expensive $20 for a Toddler-specialised hair stylist increased their prices to $22 and witnessing a slaughter-house hair cut in session, we decided to put our boy to the test at one of those $10 express hair cut outlet.  Unknown to us was we were not allowed to accompany Elliot inside the "salon".  We were ordered to wait outside for him.  

So here he was, sitting in the Queue, waiting for his turn, BY HIMSELF!  We simply have no words to describe our pride and joy!  Our little boy, at a mere 33 months old, behaved like a little man, waiting courageously alone for his hair cut!

After waiting anxiously outside the salon, our boy came out of the salon, a happy little man who was very satisfied with his fresh new look!

Quack Quack Quack

After procrastinating for many Sundays, we finally arrived at the Botanic Gardens to feed the infamous Swans.  Well, we ended up feeding the ducks and mostly the pigeons.  Elliot was too excited about throwing leftover bread everywhere to be afraid of the very hungry pigeons.

Elliot pasted those smiley face stickers on his forehead himself ... Silly boy... hahaha.... I can't help by asking him to give the Victory/Peach signs... It took him quite a while to master the control of these 4 fingers!

Starting young...

Daddy and Mommy are both avid gamers... Daddy shoots enemies. Mommy build and manage City and Restaurants. Elliot's favourite gaming sites are Baby TV and Nick Junior. See, we each have our own gaming machines!

Ahoy there!

My mom goes frequently on gambling cruises on board the Superstar Virgo and collect points that entitle her to free nights stay sometimes.  After many many invitations, Darren finally, and to my surprise, accepted her Chinese New Year invite on a 3D2N cruise to no where.  It wasn't much fun for him as he isn't much a Casino fan.  Oh well, Elliot needs a babysitter anyway.... Elliot enjoyed his running up and down the isles, going up and down the lifts, driving the "cars" in the game arcade and just simply that he's on board a big ship!

Being tourists for a day

Chinese New Year is usually a period of up to 4 days for visiting relatives and friends. But for myself, since stepping out of teenage, such "customary" visitings have been reduced to only on the first day! For Elliot, this meant lesser angbaos. To make up for this, we have decided to bring Elliot out, visiting local places of attraction. We intended to visit the Central Fire Station but to our disappointment, I didn't get the facts right before heading down to Hill Street. They are only open to public on Saturday mornings. Luckily, the Heritage Gallery was opened.   (Singapore Civil Defence Force - CD Heritage Gallery)

After going around the Gallery and up to the second storey twice, we left and headed for Cable Car Station for that long over due cable car ride.  Better take advantage of that "Free of Charge for Children under 3" before Elliot turns 3 in July...

Falling Sick

Elliot has been falling sick since as young as 4 months old.  Always starting with runny nose followed by coughing and wheezing.  At 6 months old, his usual ailment became so bad that it led to Bronchitis.  And that was really the start of very bad coughing and wheezing.  His visits to the clinics were fortnightly and visiting the hospital in the night every 3 to 4 months due to his wheezing.  Somehow, I felt that it's all my fault because I put him in full day childcare at such as tender age.   

A doctor specialising in children's respiratory illness has termed the sickly boy as "Bronchiatic".   Hopefully, he'll fall sick lesser as he grows older and his immune systems get stronger.
