Jingle Bell Times

Since the first time we pose for photos in front of the infamous huge Christmas Tree in Ngee Ann City's lobby in December 2008, we have been doing just that every December.  These photos show how much Elliot has grown over the years and how much mommy has aged too!

Hairstyling

From relatives to teachers to neighbours to coffee shop aunties... everyone just loves the roundness of Elliot's head.  Recently his teacher has been asking me when is Elliot getting his hair cut short.  When the teacher asked him directly, he said he didn't want to be botak because his friends will laugh at him and call him Botak... this is the perfect chance to teach him about Karma!

Father & Son "Pon-tang" !

With loads of leave to clear before leaving his current job, Darren decided to skip a day of work and bring us to a new place for a nice breakfast.   It is a place meant for the leisurely rich... with all the yachts parked neatly in rows and the expensive condos in the background, it is a lifestyle not to be coveted by the majority Singaporeans, including ourselves.

After enjoying our lazy morning, Daddy needed to go a bit of shopping.  And where is Elliot's favourite department??

Everyone is a good boy

Wife told me a funny story a few days back. She and Ah Boy accompanied Granny to a Buddhist temple. The car ride was a little longer than usual, and little rascal fell asleep on the way there.

When they reached the temple, he was still sleepy from the power nap. But, as usual, little Power Ranger soldiers on groggily into the crowded building.

Wife asked Ah Boy to put his palms together and show respect to Buddha. "Tell Buddha you'll be a good boy", my wife commands.

He walks up, palms together, and says "Buddha, you're a good boy!"

Labrador Nature Reserve

Another weekend outing for the boy... It's the first time we were visiting Labrador Nature Reserve.  We walked  through the heavily foliaged trail towards the coast... We can only hear crickets and rustling of the tree leaves high up above our heads... In fact, one cricket decided to end its life inside Elliot's backpack.... R.I.P.... and Mommy thought it was a fat grasshopper that could camouflaged!

I bet the park will be really spooky at night... especially with the war relics and secret tunnels decorating the "forest"....

Not so much luck for Elliot's bucket...

Let's pour the fishes back into the longkang !!!

See my EMPTY bucket!
